Here's a first list of books we are getting rid of. Painful though it is, we don't have the space for all the books we have, so they have to go. Rather than just dump them all at the local library or second-hand bookstore, friends and hangers-on get first pick :) So, if you see something you want, it's yours. Email or comment or IM or send messenger-pigeon. Same goes for any questions. It's a very basic book list. It looks SO much prettier in DeliciousLibrary, but I've spent enough time trying to get it to make a nice, pretty, visual list. So now, just the contents, as dumped to plain ol' text.
Stepping outside under the clear bright blue sky shining on the fresh, glittering, white snow crunching underfoot with that familiar crisp sound so clearly audible in the quiet early morning reminding me of other early mornings in LesDeuxAlpes, walking all bundled up in many layers with skis on shoulders and clunky clumsy boots on my feet making that nice crisp footstep sound.
About a foot of snow 500+ schools closed for the day sledding with Karin for around 2 hours until not she but I was too cold to stay frozen toes painful once inside and thawing by the nice hot radiator.
Hot chocolate with real milk for her while I went shoveling again because the driveway had been plowed shut since the first round of shoveling this morning.
Inside again with hot chocolate and warm toes and gloves and hats drying on the nice hot cast iron radiators.
Dark outside by now inside doing kitchen chores to the music of "Santa Claus is coming to town".
Current Mood:contemplative
Current Music:several versions of Santa Claus is coming to town
