500+ schools closed for the day
sledding with Karin for around 2 hours
until not she but I was too cold to stay
frozen toes painful once inside and thawing
by the nice hot radiator.
Hot chocolate with real milk
for her while I went shoveling
again
because the driveway had been plowed shut
since the first round of shoveling this morning.
Inside again with hot chocolate and warm toes
and gloves and hats drying on the nice hot
cast iron radiators.
Dark outside by now
inside doing kitchen chores to the
music of "Santa Claus is coming to town".
