Strange day.
Oct. 27th, 2006 04:47 pmOn my way into work this morning I ran into a closed bikepath. There was yellow "police do not cross" tape across the entrances of the muddy river bikepath, on both sides of the river. And quite a few police cars, 2 news station vans, lots of cops and a few camera men out. Another cyclist and I pulled up at the same time, and the cop waved us on, saying there was a crime scene, and both paths were totally closed off.
I rode around, and managed just barely not to freeze to my bike by the time I got to work. Planning to blog about it, and ask if anyone knew what was going on. First thing I see when I log into LJ, is one of my friends' posts: What a morning.
Yeah.
Apparently he found a body floating in the river. Pretty glad it wasn't me who found it.
On a totally different note, Neil Gaiman mentioned in his blog (yes, he has a great blog here:
officialgaiman) that he wrote a 6-word story. Check out the article he points to - pretty funny! Very Short Stories: 33 writers. 5 designers. 6-word science fiction.
Time to head home - off to visiting parents (they got here 2 days ago, and will stay for another week or so). Always very good to see them, but also stressful a bit. Taking a deep breath.
