Ikea: the RPG
Nov. 21st, 2005 12:59 pmWhen Ikea opened in Stoughton, just south of Boston, earlier this month, I had a whole mixed set of thoughts. Of course, first and foremost there was the "Yay! finally! A store with affordable, good-looking stuff. None of this stodgy american crap." Gotta go, gotta go, gotta go go go!
Then soon after came the inevitable "Damn, there is so much I want to buy, and so little money... or space to put it... or time to put it all together...". There's also the sympathy with friends who live/work/commute around there, and have to deal with sudden insane traffic situations.
This weekend I remembered the hilarious Ikea Walkthrough.
(and I quote from the beginning of the link:)

============================================================= IKEA WALKTHROUGH v2.3.1 ============================================================= IKEA is a fully immersive, 3D environmental adventure that allows you to role-play the character of someone who gives a shit about home furnishings. In traversing IKEA, you will experience a meticulously detailed alternate reality filled with garish colors, clear-lacquered birch veneer, and a host of NON-PLAYER CHARACTERS (NPCs) with the glazed looks of the recently anesthetized.
