I finally finished reading the book Disgrace that
tieleke
had sent me for my birthday.
It's definitely worth a read!
I don't usually read "serious" books but am a science fiction addict. So, as usual, I procrastinated a while before gingerly picking this one up. But once I started reading it, I got sucked into the story. It wasn't the gripping feeling that I sometimes have that causes me to stay up to "just finished the last pages" when a book has really hooked me. (The last book that happened to, I think, was Prey, from Michael Crichton. Also muchly recommended).
I didn't snarf Disgrace. More a slowly eating - like dessert :) A bit here and there, with time inbetween to savour it. And think. It definitely causes thinking to happen.
