If you need to use honey, but the bottle you have is so old that the honey in there has hardened, and it's difficult to squeeze it out, put it in the microwave to make it liquid again.

Life experience tip #4286
When putting honey in the microwave to soften it, do it for a short period of time, and keep an eye on it. Otherwise you will end up with a lid blown off and honey all over the inside of the machine. And it is very sticky and hard to clean up.

I used a saucepan of simmering water for this purpose last week, and forgot about it for twenty minutes. When I fished it out, the bottle hadn't melted, but it had shrunk and hardened so that now the plastic is almost unsqueezable, even though the honey is now the right consistency.
