Shiny new toy

miekecIt got here! In only 2 days, from Taiwan. It's really shiny and new and fast and beautiful. Bouncy-bouncy-bouncy....
Our new computer. Laptop. iBook.
Yes, an apple.
Almost heresy :) But, with OSX having proper memory protection, with the underlying system really being a Unix variant, and now with Consumer Reports actually recommending Apple above any other brand -- it was time. Aside from the fact that our current (or, I guess, now "old") laptop was literally falling apart.
And I'm actually posting from it right now. Only a few hours after we started setting it up. I guess it helped that it came with a properly and completely installed OS.
I like it. A lot. Well, at least so far. There's still lots to do, and plenty to learn about macs. But for now, I'm quite happy with it.
