Too cold!!

miekec-17°C is just too cold. Not that I care so much myself, I'll just add more layers and I'll be fine. But when travelling with a toddler, it's not fun. Especially if the commute takes twice as long as usual. We just missed the train, so had to wait for the next one. Not all that bad in general, but this time it didn't come in 5-10 minutes. No. It came more than half an hour later! By this time, of course, Karin had started to melt down; both out of boredom and being frozen, no doubt.
The train that showed up was a whopping *1* car. Crammed full already. And even though we had been waiting there longest, in this country noone gives a damn, and we didn't get to get on first. But for once, I was totally impolite (even worse than usual), shouldered my way to the front, and pronounced that K was freezing to death and that we had to get on. Lo and behold, it worked. That we were packed like sardines, and had nowhere to hold on didn't matter at that point. It was warm, and we were so tightly packed that we couldn't fall over, even if we tried. And K was still screaming bloody murder. By the time we got to daycare and got her defrosted, I was running over half an hour late for work.
Sigh. Not my favorite way to start the day. Hope it gets better from here.
