January recap
Feb. 5th, 2008 12:28 pmIt's been a crazy month. According to our thermometer just outside our kitchen window, it's been between -16 and +21 C [3F and 70F, 257K and 294K]. Just this month. That made it definitely cool enough for some
ice skating. Not much good snow, the fluffy nice kind for sledding and jumping around in, more ice and sleet and slippery. Oh well, winter isn't done yet. Karin has been a trooper, never once complaining that it was too cold to go out, or too cold to ride our bikes to school. She looks like a polarbear (as she calls it) once she's all bundled up, but hey, whatever works.
In the middle of the month, there was a snow/ice storm that left the world looking like a fairytale. I tried to take some pictures with the camera in my phone (pics), but one of my LJ friends (with a much better camera and eye for this stuff) took awesome pictures, posted here.
At my work, the head of our dept/group has finally decided that we need to test our software more before releasing it. Radical concept. So, sometime in February, we're going to have an "International Testing Month". We're going to test every page and link and form and thingy. Other than that, it's the same old, em, stuff. Oh, and Alex got the cast off his wrist/hand, but managed to need stitches only a scant week or two later. Something about chemistry and tube and cork and forgot glycerin.
