As I was dropping off Karin at her Pre-K class this morning, I talked some with S., one of the teachers about her yesterday-morning. As she had done the previous week as well, she had a great morning yesterday, with much better behavior/listening than she had at daycare the last few months.
Except for one incident - she didn't want to line up outside when it was time to go back in. Rather than having all the other kids wait for her, teacher A. asked if she could help her go in, and then picked her up and carried her in. Not ideal, but better than doing the same (picking up) after 20 minutes of talking to her. So, A. put her in the quiet area of the room, so Karin could get herself together before sitting down to lunch. S. went to check in on her a few minutes later, and Karin told her "I could have got away from A. She only could pick me up because I was so very tired."
Too true.
