September 23-30th is Banned Books Week.
Interesting factoid: 42 of 100 books recognized by the Radcliffe Publishing Course as the best novels of the 20th century have been challenged or banned. (according to Google Books.
Over the weekend the following exchange took place:
Adult: Karin, it's time to go to the bathroom, before we go out.
Karin: I already *did* it!
A: When?
K: Yesterday!

Then today, while going upstairs for a minute, I hear a thud from the kitchen. Somehow, you learn to distinguish between "normal" thuds and foreboding ones. This was not a normal one.
I go downstairs, and find Karin, a knocked-over garbage can (big, heavy metal kind) and a flapping catdoor that is going back and forth from the rush of the cat that must have run through it.
I ask wat was going on.
"I was holding Weasley (the cat)"
And why was the garbage can knocked over?
"I was throwing Weasley in the air."
Blink. Blink.
Needless to say, there was no dessert after dinner...
