crazy ride-all-around day
Sep. 8th, 2008 06:36 pmIt feels like I've been riding around in circles all day. Probably because for a large part, I did.
Let's see...
Let's see...
- Rode K to Devotion school on bike (1 mi in wrong, as in not-work, direction), since it's only the first few days of school, and transport hadn't been arranged quite yet.
- Locked up her trailer to the (tiny, badly located) bike rack.
- Rode to work.
- Then, an almost blissfully uninterrupted stretch of work. Radical.
- Got interrupted by school nurse. Had deja-vu, and sighed deeply, bracing for disaster. To hear that she had bumped her head.
- Explained to nurse that if there isn't significant blood-loss, we didn't need a call. Wasn't sure if the laugh after the silence sounded nervous.
- Rode to the local (Pierce) school, to intercept Karin as she arrived by school bus around 2:30, because the afterschool care hadn't known she was coming (despite the fact that I had signed up and, you know, paid...)
- Walked her to after-school care. Talked with the director for a bit, because apparently no one had informed them of plans and such.
- Rode my bike back to Devotion, picked up the trailer-bike.
- Rode home.
- Actually sat down to do some work work.
- Drove 2 cars over to D's driveway, drove 1 car back. Now had only 2 cars left in the driveway, which is a good thing, since there is space for only 2 cars.
- Rode my bike with trailer to Pierce, picked up Karin.
- Rode home. Parked bike. No more riding today, please.
